The City Dinner 03/2010

The City Dinner

You'll be surprised by the amount of businesses that we work with that have employees who invest their spare time in charity work. This is one such case where an existing client asked us to become involved in there chosen charity. The Back Up Trust transforms people's lives after spinal cord injury. Their mission is to inspire people affected by spinal cord injury to transform their lives and challenge perceptions of disability. These services build confidence and create independence by offering a supportive network - who wouldn't want to get involved and to do 'their bit'.

We are challenged with creating the City Dinner's guide to the evening. Each guest is presented with a small booklet. Most importantly to introduce the charity and explain how it helps people with spinal injury, the selection of food that will be served to those attending, a list of items up for auction (generally sporting memorabilia that all have to be catalogued), items which feature on the silent auction and not forgetting an introduction to the celebrity guest that gives the evening a more 'glitzy' feel.
